Nail Salon POS: Turn Tracker — Privacy Policy

This policy covers the app Nail Salon POS: Turn Tracker (also shown as "Nail Salon Manager" inside the app; Google Play package com.nkktech.nailSalon, Apple App Store bundle com.nkktech.nailSalon), published on Google Play and the App Store under the developer name NKKTech Global by NKKTECH GLOBAL PTE. LTD., 18 Sin Ming Lane, #07-13 Midview City, Singapore 573960 ("NKKTECH", "we"). This policy explains what the app does with data. The short version: your salon's records stay on your devices. We run no server and no account system, and we never receive them. The one third-party component that sends technical data off the device is Google ML Kit, used for QR scanning on Android (section 5).

1. What the app stores, and where

Everything you enter is written to your device's own app storage:

• Customer records — name, phone, email, birthday, allergy and preference notes, marketing consent choices, loyalty points, and any nail photos you add.
• Appointments, tickets, services, payments, tips, gift cards and the wait list. Each appointment and ticket keeps its own copy of the customer's name and phone number.
• Staff records, including a one-way hash of a staff PIN if you turn on the app lock. The PIN itself is never stored.
• Expenses, shop details (name, address, phone, tax ID, logo, review link) and settings.
• A list of the records you deleted, so that the deletion also reaches your other devices when they sync.
• Your subscription status (see section 6).

None of it is uploaded to us. There is no sign-up, no login, and no cloud copy. If you delete the app, that data goes with it — so keep your own backups.

2. Syncing between your devices

If you use sync, devices talk directly to each other over your shop's own network. It does not pass through NKKTECH and does not go to the internet. How it works, and what to be aware of:

• One device shares: it runs a small web server inside the app. Other devices join with a 4-digit pairing code; after joining once, they receive a long random token and use that instead. "Only let paired devices in" stops the code from being accepted at all, and "Stop sharing" disconnects every paired device.
• Sync traffic is plain HTTP and is not encrypted. The code and token control who can ask for data, but someone able to watch traffic on the same network could read what is sent. A sync carries the full salon book: customer phone numbers, birthdays, allergy notes, nail photos, staff PIN hashes, and the salon's subscription status.
• To find each other, devices send a broadcast on the local network and check the other addresses in the same local range. A sharing device answers any device on that network, without a code, with the app's name and your salon's name.
• If you turn on "Sync automatically", the device syncs every 5 minutes while the app is open. "Keep sharing in the background" keeps a sharing device serving after you leave the Sync screen, for as long as the app keeps running.

Do not sync over Wi-Fi that customers or the public can join. Use a network that only your salon's devices use.

3. Backups, receipts, calls and texts

Backup files are created only when you tap "Back up to a file". The app writes one JSON file and opens your device's share sheet, so it goes wherever you choose to save or send it. The file is not encrypted. It contains your whole salon book — customer details including phone numbers, birthdays and allergy notes, staff PIN hashes, your tax ID and logo, settings, subscription status and the list of deleted records. Nail photos are not included in backups made from Settings. Treat the file like any other confidential business document.

A PDF receipt is created only when you choose to share a ticket's receipt; it opens the system share or print sheet and goes where you send it. The Call and Text buttons on a customer open your phone or messaging app with that customer's number; the app does not place calls or send messages itself.

4. Device permissions

• Camera — only to read QR codes (a gift card, or another device's pairing code). Camera images are not saved and never leave the device. The camera is not used for photos.
• Photos — to pick your shop logo and customer nail photos from your photo library. Chosen images are copied into the app's own storage on the device.
• Local network (iOS) and Internet / network state (Android) — for sync between your devices as described above, and for Apple or Google to handle purchases.
• Notifications — appointment and follow-up reminders, scheduled and shown by your device. They are not sent from a server. A reminder can show the customer's name, including on the lock screen.
• Run at startup (Android) — so reminders that were already scheduled are set again after the device restarts.

5. Advertising and third-party SDKs

The app shows no ads and contains no advertising SDK. Versions before 12 September 2026 included Google AdMob in a free tier; that tier and the SDK were removed. No advertising identifier is read, and iOS never shows an App Tracking Transparency prompt for this app.

Google ML Kit (Android only). On Android, QR scanning uses Google's ML Kit barcode scanner, which runs on the device: the camera image is processed locally and is not sent anywhere. ML Kit may, however, send Google technical data such as device and app information, diagnostics and performance metrics. See Google's ML Kit data disclosure. On iOS, scanning uses Apple's on-device Vision framework and no scanning data leaves the device.

6. Purchases

Pro and Business subscriptions, monthly or yearly, are sold and billed by Apple or Google. Payment details go to them, never to us. When the app starts, and when you tap "Restore purchase", it asks the store whether a subscription is active. The answer (plan and end date) is stored on the device, together with any remove-ads period bought in older versions. So that one purchase covers the salon, the plan and end date are also shared with your paired devices during sync and included in backups. NKKTECH receives none of this. If the app asks you to rate it, the rating is handled by Apple or Google.

7. What we do not do

We do not add our own analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking, and there is no account and no server of ours. The only third-party SDK that sends technical data off the device is ML Kit on Android (section 5), and that data goes to Google, not to us. We do not sell salon records or hold them on our systems. The App Store privacy label for this app is "Data Not Collected".

8. If you record your customers' details

When you enter a client's information, your salon — not NKKTECH — is the controller of that information under laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR and CCPA. The app gives you tools to meet that responsibility: a setting that keeps anyone off your reminder lists until they have agreed, and a "Do not text about promotions" switch that removes a client from every list. Please ask before writing down health information such as allergies, and record only what you need to keep a client safe.

Deleting a customer removes their profile, but note what it does not remove:

• Past appointments and tickets keep their own copy of the customer's name and phone number.
• Nail photos already saved stay in the app's storage. Remove them one by one on the customer's profile before deleting the customer.
• Copies on other synced devices are removed at their next sync, but backup files you made earlier still contain the customer.

There is no export of a single customer's record. The only export is the full-salon backup file described in section 3. To answer a client's request to see their data, you can read it from their profile in the app.

9. Your rights

We do not hold your data, so there is nothing for us to look up, correct or erase. If you are a salon client and want to see or delete what a salon holds about you, contact that salon. If you are a salon owner, everything is in the app on your devices. Questions about ML Kit data on Android can be directed to Google under its own privacy policy.

10. Children

This is a tool for running a business. It is not directed to children and should not be used by them.
