The app shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect device identifiers (the Advertising ID / IDFA), coarse location derived from the IP address, and ad-interaction data to serve, measure and limit ads — under the Google Privacy Policy. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland a consent form (Google UMP) is shown before personalised ads. On iOS the App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown before any tracking identifier is used; if you decline, you still get ads, just not personalised. You can reset or disable the Advertising ID in your device settings at any time.
Optional purchases (for example removing ads) are processed by Google Play Billing or Apple's App Store. We never see your payment details; the store only tells the app whether a purchase is active. If you remove ads with a purchase, no ad requests are made. Restore purchases through the store account you bought with.
The camera and photo library are used only to capture or import the pages you want to scan. Images are processed on your device and saved in the app's own storage; they are not uploaded to us. When you choose to export, the app saves the file to your photo library or the location you pick.
OCR runs on-device. The recognised text stays with the document on your device.
Codes are decoded on your device. If a code contains a link, it is shown to you and opens in your browser only when you choose to open it.
Scanning and recognition use Google ML Kit, which processes images on your device; your images and recognised text are not sent to Google or to us. As described in Google's ML Kit data disclosure, the SDK may send limited technical data to Google — device and app information, a per-installation identifier, diagnostics and performance metrics — to maintain and improve the service.
If you turn on the optional app lock, authentication is handled entirely by your device's operating system. The app never receives or stores your face or fingerprint data; it only keeps the lock setting in the device's secure storage.
If you share a result or file, the app opens your device's share sheet; what you share and with whom is your choice and goes directly to the app you pick.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing further to delete on our side. To have Google or Apple erase ad or purchase records tied to your account, use the privacy controls of your Google / Apple account.
Data lives in the app's private storage on your device, protected by the operating system.
